Parsnip and Pumpkin Puree Ingredients

  • 1 parsnip
  • 1 cup of fresh pumpkin
  • tiny pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh chives

How to make Parsnip and Pumpkin Puree

  1. Peel and chop up the parsnip and pumpkin.
  2. Steam or boil the pumpkin and parsnip in a little water until it’s nice and tender.
  3. Once tender, drain the water and then blend well in a food processor. If you don’t have a food blender it is also possible to mash the food together; this will produce a thicker consistency which is better for older toddlers.
  4. After everything is mashed or blended together stir in the nutmeg and chives.
  5. Let the food cool to the desired temperature and serve!
